Slowing PP demand conditions rule out any possible price rise in Indian markets

Slowing down of end-users has resulted in demand for the PP material weakening in the major polymer markets in India. Traders in several polymer markets in the country have told Indianpetrochem that they experienced weak PP sales, attributing to slowing down of end-user industries in addition to high cost of the raw material.

Several PP item manufacturers also told the website that their sales were lessening, due to which, they curtailed purchases of PP, their prime raw material.

Besides, traders in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore markets revealed of weakening PP off-takes in the respective markets. They also did not foresee any possible strengthening of the demand in the near future.

The prevailing demand situations apparently indicate that there is no likelihood of the price moving up in the coming days.
