PVC price not to undergo upward movement in the absence of active demand

The continuance of imposition of Anti Dumping Duty on PVC imports into India is likely to have minimal impact on prices of the polymer in the country, and there is almost no likelihood of the price going up in the country as demand continues to remain sluggish.

Demand for the polymer from the PVC pipe manufacturer has undergone no improvement from the dull state, and the demand outlook still remains grim.

In the key Asian regions, price of Ethylene has been exhibiting downward trend that also is likely to pull down prices of EDC and VCM prices. If the feedstock prices come down, price of the polymer will also go down in Asia.
