Shortage of LDPE stocks leads to apprehension in market price going up

LDPE price in the Mumbai market is likely to go up in the coming days as stocks available with traders in the market are dwindling on non-receipt of fresh supply. Traders in the market told the website that the prevailing demand conditions were dull, however, they expected that the demand to strengthen in the coming days. On the prevailing market conditions in respect to the polymer, a Mumbai-based trader said," Demand for the LDPE material is not satisfactory these days, but, it seems to strengthen in the coming days."

On the raw material purchase pattern, an LDPE Film manufacturer in Mumbai said," We are currently purchasing the raw material on need-basis, but, we are also planning to fill up our raw material stocks once the stock situation in markets improves."

A trader in the market quoted the prevailing prices of the LDPE (Film) material at Rs 134-135 a kg, and that for the LDPE (Injection Moulding) material at Rs 138-139 a kg.
